It's amazing to see how many software companies are purchasing media sites and communities.
Yesterday it was Makerpad, the no-code education and community website founded by Ben Tossell. Zapier acquired it for an undisclosed amount and it seems to have hired Ben to keep it running.
The multipliers by which content sites are sold will continue to increase, in my opinion. It's obvious that software startups see a return on those investments. Let's see for how much is Failory acquired 👀
Now that Ben is at the top, it's great to remember that he had to go through some failures before achieving success with Makerpad. He priorly built and shut down NewCo, which also was a no-code education website. I guess there's no better demonstration than that, that you can learn a lot from failures.
